One year later: EJP urges implementation of ICJ advisory opinion of 19 July

EJP in the Hague

Members from different international Jewish collectives, affiliated members of European Jews for Palestine, marched to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Hague to mark one year since its advisory opinion on Israel’s apartheid.

One year after that ruling, Israel continues to violate international law with illegal settlements in the West Bank and the apartheid wall, in addition to the mass starvation of the population in the Gaza strip.

Institutions like the ICJ and ICC were set up after the second world war to hold countries accountable for their war crimes and bring war criminals to justice.

These institutions are supposed to protect us all from tyrants, dictatorships and criminal regimes.

European Jews for Palestine demand:

  1. immediate opening of a humanitarian corridor to Gaza
  2. an end to apartheid and Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territory
  3. arrest of Israeli war criminals Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant.
